What these terms cover
Synti Aura is a Synti Labs project. These terms are written in plain language and cover the desktop app, this website, and the conversation-sharing service at share.aura.synti.co.
By using any of these, you accept them. If you don't agree, don't use them.
What you get
Synti Aura is free: no account, no subscription, no credit card. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable license to install and use the app. The app itself remains ours: you may not resell it, distribute a modified version of it, or attempt to reverse-engineer its source code.
The model is yours
The app doesn't include an AI model. You connect one yourself — with an existing subscription, an API key, or a model on your own machine — and using it is governed by the terms of that provider, including what you're allowed to send it and what you can do with the output. Any payment you make to them is between you and them.
What the agent does on your machine
Synti Aura acts on your computer with whatever access you grant it: reading and writing files, running commands, controlling a browser, and reaching connected services. It asks for permission before changing or sending anything, unless you tell it otherwise; deleting files, admin rights, and access to other machines always require permission.
You're responsible for what you ask it to do, and for the access you give it. Keep backups. Review the plan before approving it. Don't point it at anything you can't afford to lose.
What you can't do
Don't use Synti Aura to:
- break the law or violate anyone's rights
- access systems or data you don't have the right to access
- create or distribute malware, or carry out attacks
- violate the terms of the model provider or any connected service
- publish material through the sharing service that is illegal or that you don't have the rights to
We may remove a published page or cut off access to the sharing service for anyone who ignores this.
Automated output
Output is generated by an AI model, and it can be wrong, incomplete, or confidently mistaken. The app checks its own work against the standard you set, which reduces the risk but doesn't eliminate it. Verify anything that matters before relying on it. This is not professional advice.
Donations
Donations are voluntary. They don't grant a license, features, support commitments, or priority, and they're non-refundable.
No warranties
The app is provided as is, with no warranties of any kind. We don't promise uninterrupted operation, freedom from errors, or fitness for a particular purpose, and we don't guarantee that any given task will finish — or finish correctly.
Limits of liability
Synti Labs is not liable for lost data, lost profit, wasted time, or any indirect or incidental damages arising from use of the app. It runs locally, under your control and with your permission — so decisions about what it can access remain yours.
Changes and termination
We may update the app and these terms; the date at the top will change, and we'll announce significant changes in Discord. You can stop at any time — delete the app and its folder. We may terminate your license if you violate these terms.
